Pleasure craft operator card.........

Canadian Residents.........  As of September 15th, 2009 all boat operators will need a pleasure craft operator card. For those who wish to take the exam online please click on the following link to access the "study guide" and  "boaters exam".

Non-residents........ Individuals renting a pleasure craft equipped with a motor are required to complete a Rental Boat Safety Check List

UNLESS:

-they have to complete the check list

-they have written proof of completing a boating safety course prior to April 1,2009

-they have written proof of nautical certification

-in the case of a non-residents, written proof of competency from their own country

Those required to complete a rental boat safety check list, must carry on board the co-signed (customer and renter) section of the Rental Boat

Safety Checklist as proof of competency for the duration of the rental.

Please Note:

If you are required to complete  a Rental Boat Safety Checklist, this will be done this will be done in the office before you  are assigned a boat.
